The Penn State Nittany Lions and Arkansas Razorbacks face off on Saturday in a college football showdown in the Outback Bowl at Raymond James Stadium. 

Penn State comes into this game with a 7-5 record overall and they have gone 7-5 against the spread. Even though Penn State is in the Outback Bowl, this has been a season that has mostly been a disappointment. Coming into this game Penn State has lost two of their last three games including the last game against Michigan State where they lost by three points. The Nittany Lions are averaging 26.3 points while their defense is giving up 16.8 points per game. Under center is Sean Clifford who has thrown for 2.912 yards, 20 touchdowns, and six interceptions. Jaquan Brisker, Ellis Brooks, and Jahan Dotson have declared for the draft and will be out of this game. 

On the other side of this matchup is the Arkansas Razorbacks who sit with an 8-4 record and they have gone 7-4-1 against the spread. Arkansas has been quite impressive this season, and in the last game against Missouri, they won by 17 points. Arkansas is averaging 31.5 points and their offense is going to need to be good in this game. Under center for the Razorbacks is KJ Jefferson who has thrown for 2,578 yards, 21 touchdowns, and three interceptions. If Arkansas wants to win this game they can’t fall behind early.

Penn State has played to the over in the last few bowl games, and this total is a bit too low. Arkansas is averaging 31.5 points per game and they are going to find offensive success in this game.
