The Iowa State Cyclones were able to pick up the easy win against the TCU Horned Frogs in their last contest. Quarterback Brock Purdy went 21 of 30 passing for 262 yards and 2 touchdowns to 0 interceptions in the blowout win. He had a QBR of 69.2.

Brock Purdy completed 73.1 percent of his passes for 2,984 yards, 18 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. Breece Hall led the team with 1,472 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns but will opt out of this bowl to prepare for the NFL Draft. 

Iowa State is averaging 34.4 points per game. They are throwing for 268.8 yards and rushing for 168.6 yards per game. Iowa State also played well defensively, giving up 21.5 points per game. 

The Cyclones are 1-5 ATS vs. a team with a winning record and are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games following a straight up win. The Tigers are 14-2 ATS in their last 16 games in December. When guys miss bowl games for the draft, it says a lot about players commitment and enthusiasm to the team. With the Cyclones missing one of their best players on offense in Hall, I think the Clemson defense should have an easy time limiting the Cyclones in this one. They should win and cover in this one.
