Bahamas Bowl: Middle Tennessee at Toledo 12/17/21 College Football Picks and Prediction

The Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders and Toledo Rockets face off in a college football showdown on Friday in the Bahamas Bowl at Thomas Robinson Stadium. This is the first meeting ever between the two teams. 

The Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders come into this game with a 6-6 record overall and they have gone 6-6 against the spread. Middle Tennessee has won two of their last three games and the only loss was by seven points against Old Dominion. In the last game against Florida Atlantic the defense only gave up 17 points and that led to the 10 point victory. Middle Tennessee is averaging 29.8 points per game while their defense is giving up 25.8 points per game. Middle Tennessee has used two quarterbacks and that will probably be the case again this season. Nicholas Vattiato and Mike DiLiello combined to throw for 236 yards and a touchdown in the last game.

On the other side of this matchup is the Toledo Rockets who sit with a 7-5 record overall and they have gone 8-4 against the spread. Toledo has won three games in a row and in the last game against Akron they won 49-14. As of late the offense has looked quite impressive, and that offense is going to need to be key again. Toledo is averaging 34.2 points per game while their defense is giving up 21 points per game. Under center for Toledo is Dequan Finn who has thrown for 1,885 yards, 16 touchdowns, and one interception. In this game, if Toledo wants to win this game they are going to need the offense to be good.
