The Army Black Knights and Navy Midshipmen face off on Saturday in one of the best rivalries in college football at MetLife Stadium. When these two teams faced off in 2020 it was Army that won 15-0. 

Army comes into this game with an 8-3 record overall and they have gone 6-5 against the spread. In the last game against Liberty, the defense was elite giving up only 16 points and that led to the easy victory. Army is averaging 35.5 points while their defense is giving up 22.8 points per game. The Black Knights run the option and are currently averaging 301.7 yards per game on the ground which is 2nd best in college football. Under center for Army is Christian Anderson who has thrown for 545 yards, five touchdowns, and zero interceptions. He has also rushed for 519 yards and six touchdowns. 

On the other side of this matchup is the Navy Midshipmen who sit with a 3-8 record overall but they have gone 7-4 against the spread. Even though Navy has struggled, they have been playing better as of late. Two games ago against East Carolina they lost by three points, but they bounced back in the last game beating Temple 38-14. Navy is averaging 20.4 points while their defense is giving up 29.6 points per game. Navy is averaging 229 yards per game on the ground which is 7th best in college basketball. The top running back this season has been Isaac Ruoss who has put up 608 yards and five touchdowns.

Navy is 0-6 against the spread in their last six non-conference games. Army is 1-4 against the spread in their last five games against the AAC. The under is 17-4 in the last 21 meetings between the two teams. The home team is 7-1-1 against the spread in the last nine meetings. Army is 5-1-1 against the spread in the last seven meetings. 

This game is going to stay on the ground and points are going to be hard to come by for both teams in this game. The under has been the play when these two teams have faced off, and this game is going to stay under the total. Back the under.
