The Tennessee Volunteers improved to 6-5 on the season after defeating the South Alabama Jaguars, 60-14, this past Saturday. Tennessee had no trouble generating offense against South Alabama and pulled after a 96-yard KO return by Velus Jones Jr gave the Volunteers a 35-7 lead late in the 2nd quarter. Tennessee outgained South Alabama by a 561-285 margin and didn’t commit a turnover in the victory. Leading the way for the Volunteers was QB Hendon Hooker who completed 17 of 20 passes for 273 yards & 2 TD while also rushing for a TD.

The Commodores are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall & 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games as a road underdog. The Volunteers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games as a favorite & 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games after accumulating more than 450 total yards in their previous game.
Vanderbilt has been solid ATS over the past three weeks, however, I just think this game has blowout written all over it as the Tennessee offense has looked explosive as ever against the weaker teams in the SEC which includes combining for 107 points against Missouri & South Carolina earlier this season. Vanderbilt comes into this game ranked just 119th in scoring defense & total defense and as I think Tennessee gives their home crowd a show in their regular season finale, I’m taking Tennessee to cover this large spread. Good Luck!
