The Missouri Tigers will travel to War Memorial Stadium to take on the 25th ranked Arkansas Razorbacks this Friday afternoon in College Football action.

The Missouri Tigers won their 2nd straight game and improved to 6-5 on the season after upsetting the Florida Gators, 24-23 (OT), this past Saturday. Missouri had one of their best defensive efforts of the season and after Florida opened the 1st OT with a TD, Missouri answered quickly with a 13-yard TD run by Tyler Badie and was able to pull off the victory after converting the 2-point conversation. Missouri was outgained by Florida by a 360-286 margin, however, didn’t commit a turnover in the victory. Leading the way for the Tigers was Tyler Badie who had 146 rushing yards & 1 TD on 27 carries.

On the season, Missouri is averaging 30.8 ppg on 420.8 total yards per game (248.5 passing yds/g; 172.4 rushing yds/g). Offensively, Missouri has been led by RB Tyler Badie who has 1385 rushing yards & 13 TD on 227 carries. QB Connor Bazelak has completed 67.2% of his passes for 2483 yards, 16 TD, & 10 INT. The top receiving threats for the Tigers have been Tauskie Dove (34 rec, 542 yards), Keke Chism (33 rec, 410 yards, 2 TD), D’ionte ‘Boo’ Smith (6 rec, 197 yards, TD), & JJ Hester (9 rec, 195 yards, 2 TD).

Defensively, Missouri is allowing their opponents to average 34.7 ppg on 447.3 total yards per game (211.9 passing yds/g; 235.4 rushing yds/g).

The 25th Arkansas Razorbacks had their 3-game winning streak snapped and dropped to 7-4 on the season after being defeated by the 2nd ranked Alabama Crimson Tide, 42-35, this past Saturday. Arkansas gave Alabama all they could handle on the road, however, the defense just didn’t have any answers for QB Bryce Young and could not fight back after Young’s 5th TD pass of the day gave the Crimson Tide a 42-28 lead with 5:39 left in the 4th quarter. Arkansas was outgained by Alabama by a 671-468 margin and committed 1 turnover in the loss. Leading the way for the Razorbacks was KJ Jefferson who completed 22 of 30 passes for 326 yards & 3 TD.

On the season, Arkansas is averaging 31.3 ppg on 442.4 total yards per game (220.1 passing yds/g; 222.3 rushing yds/g). Offensively, Arkansas has been led by QB KJ Jefferson who has completed 66.0% of his passes for 2316 yards, 20 TD, & 3 INT while also rushing for 496 yards & 5 TD. In the backfield with Jefferson has been the duo of Trelon Smith (110 att, 555 yards, 4 TD) & Dominique Johnson (80 att, 479 yards, 7 TD). The top receiving threats for the Razorbacks have been Treylon Burks (59 rec, 975 yards, 10 TD), Tyson Morris (21 rec, 305 yards, 2 TD), Warren Thompson (18 rec, 292 yards, 2 TD), & Blake Kern (13 rec, 169 yards, 2 TD).

Defensively, Arkansas is allowing their opponents to average 24.6 ppg on 376.4 total yards per game (228.7 passing yds/g; 147.6 rushing yds/g).

The Tigers are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games vs. a team with a winning record and just 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games as a road underdog. The Razorbacks are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games following a ATS win, however, are just 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall.

Missouri was able to pull off a solid victory against Florida, however, this is still not a very good football team and has really struggled defensively this season as they come into this game ranked 118th in scoring defense. Arkansas can at times struggle defensively, however, their offense has been explosive this season, led by one of the better dual-threat QB’s on the nation in KJ Jefferson. Arkansas is a solid 6-1 at home this season with those wins coming by an average of 21.7 ppg and as I think the offense has no trouble putting up 40+ in this one, I think Arkansas does enough to cover this large double-digit spread. Good Luck!
