The Washington Huskies and Colorado Buffaloes face off on Saturday in a Pac 12 college football showdown at Folsom Field. When these two teams last faced off in 2019, Colorado won 20-14.
The Washington Huskies come into this game with a 4-6 record overall but they have lost two games in a row. In the last game against Arizona State, the defense struggled giving up 35 points, and that led to the five-point loss. Washington is averaging 22.8 points while their defense is giving up 21.8 points per game. Under center for Washington is Dylan Morris who has thrown for 2,071 yards, 12 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. The turnovers have been an issue, and they are going to need to be better in this game. The top running back has been Sean McGrew who has rushed for 431 yards and eight touchdowns.
On the other side of this matchup is the Colorado Buffaloes who sit with a 3-7 record overall and they are coming off another loss where they really had no shot. In the last game against UCLA, the defense gave up 44 points and that led to a 24 point defeat. Colorado is averaging 19.2 points while their defense is giving up 27.5 points per game. The defense has been a major issue at times, and they need the defense to be better. Under center for Colorado is Brenden Lewis who has thrown for 1,344 yards, 10 touchdowns, and three interceptions. Jarek Broussard has been the top back rushing for 618 yards and two touchdowns.
The under is 5-0 in Washington’s last five games on the road. Washington is 9-1 overall in their last ten games playing Colorado. The total has gone under in four of Colorado’s last five games while playing at home against Washington.
These are both offenses that I don’t trust, and I expect there is going to be plenty of issues by both teams. The under has been a strong play when these two teams have played in Washington and it’s going to happen again in this game. Back the under.
