The Virginia Tech Hokies and Miami Hurricanes face off on Saturday in an ACC college football showdown at Hard Rock Stadium. When these two teams faced off in 2020, Miami came away with the 25-24 victory. 

The Virginia Tech Hokies come into this game with a 5-5 record overall and they have let go of head coach Justin Fuente. Even though Virginia Tech has struggled they are coming off a 48-17 victory over the Duke Blue Devils. Two games ago, Virginia Tech only scored three points, and they need the offense to be better in this game. Virginia Tech is averaging 24.3 points while their defense is giving up 21.3 points per game. Under center for Virginia Tech is Braxton Burmeister and he has thrown for 1710 yards, 12 touchdowns, and four interceptions. 

On the other side of this matchup is the Miami Hurricanes who sit with a 5-5 record overall and they have been involved in a lot of close games this season. Two games ago they beat Georgia Tech 33-30 and in the last game against Florida State, they lost 31-28. Quarterback Tyler Van Dyke is young, but he has been impressive, although at times turnovers have been an issue. Against Florida State he completed 25 of his 47 passes for 316 yards, four touchdowns, and two interceptions. Miami is averaging 32.4 points while their defense is giving up 30.5 points per game.

Virginia Tech is 2-8 against the spread in their last 10 road games. Miami is 2-8 against the spread in their last ten home games. Virginia Tech is 2-5 against the spread in their last seven meetings against Miami. The under is 7-2 in the last nine meetings in Miami. The under is 12-5-1 in the last 18 meetings between Virginia Tech and Miami. 

Miami has been involved in a lot of close games this season, and i don’t see them blowing out Virginia Tech Although the Hokies offense has been inconsistent. Virginia Tech is going to find success with their offense. Back Virginia Tech against the spread.
