The Vanderbilt Commodores will travel to Vaught-Hemingway Stadium to take on the 12th ranked Ole Miss Rebels this Saturday night in College Football action.

The Vanderbilt Commodores lost their 5th straight game and dropped to 2-8 on the season after being defeated by the Kentucky Wildcats, 34-17, this past Saturday. Vanderbilt struggled offensively against the tough Kentucky defense and could not fight back after the Wildcats went into halftime with a 31-3 lead. Vanderbilt was outgained by Kentucky by a 413-266 margin and committed 1 turnover in the loss. Leading the way for the Commodores was WR Chris Pierce Jr. who had 6 receptions for 69 yards & 1 TD.

On the season, Vanderbilt is averaging 15.1 ppg on 297.7 total yards per game (182.5 passing yds/g; 115.2 rushing yds/g). Offensively, Vanderbilt has been led by the RB duo of Patrick Smith (74 att, 325 yards, TD) & Rocko Griffin (89 att, 296 yards, 2 TD). QB Ken Seals (56.5 Comp %, 1173 yards, 5 TD, 8 INT) left the Commodores last game due to an injury and if he is unable to go, Vanderbilt will go with Mike Wright (55.0 Comp %, 603 yards, 7 TD, 4 INT; 66 att, 306 rushing yds). The top receiving threats for the Commodores have been Chris Pierce Jr. (43 rec, 496 yards, 2 TD), Will Sheppard (36 att, 466 yards, 3 TD), Devin Boddie Jr. (29 rec, 263 yards, TD), & Cam Johnson (28 rec, 260 yards, 4 TD).

Defensively, Vanderbilt is allowing their opponents to average 35.4 ppg on 458.1 total yards per game (268.4 passing yds/g; 189.7 rushing yds/g).

The 12th ranked Ole Miss Rebels won their 2nd straight game and improved to 8-2 on the season after defeating the 11th ranked Texas A&M Aggies, 29-19, this past Saturday. Ole Miss did a great job generating offense against one of the better defenses in all of College Football and was able to pull away after a 51-yard pick-six by the Rebels AJ Finley gave the Rebels a 29-13 lead with 4:50 left in the 4th quarter. Ole Miss outgained Texas A&M by a 504-378 margin and won the turnover battle by a 2-1 margin in the victory. Leading the way for the Rebels was RB Jerrion Ealy who had 24 carries for 152 yards to go along with 4 receptions for 34 yards.

On the season, Ole Miss is averaging 36.9 ppg on 522.2 total yards per game (282.4 passing yds/g; 239.8 rushing yds/g). Offensively, Ole Miss has been led by QB Matt Corral who has completed 66.7% of his passes for 2774 yards, 17 TD, & 2 INT while also rushing for 523 yards & 10 TD. The top receiving threats for the Rebels have been Dontario Drummond (46 rec, 707 yards, 7 TD), Braylon Sanders (18 rec, 429 yards, 3 TD), & Jahcour Perason (21 rec, 288 yards). Leading the way for the Ole Miss backfield has been the trio of Jerrion Ealy (96 att, 588 yards, 4 TD), Henry Parrish Jr. (98 att, 529 yards, 2 TD), & Snoop Conner (95 att, 509 yards, 11 TD).

Defensively, Ole Miss is allowing their opponents to an average of 26.2 ppg on 426.0 total yards per game (237.3 passing yds/g; 188.7 rushing yds/g).

The Commodores are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 November games and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 road games. The Rebels are 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 home games & 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games after allowing less than 20 points in their previous game.

Ole Miss is coming off two impressive victories against Liberty & Texas A&M and have one of the better offenses in the country as they come into this game ranked 15th in scoring offense & 3rd in rushing offense. Vanderbilt had really struggled on both ends of the field this season as they currently rank just 128th in scoring offense & 115th in scoring defense and as they Commodores have already lost by 39+ points to Georgia, Mississippi State, & Florida, I think the Rebels will be able to dominate on both ends of the field in this one and cover this large home spread. Good Luck!
