The South Florida Bulls and Tulane Green Wave face off on Saturday in an AAC college football showdown at Yulman Stadium. When these two teams last faced off in 2018, Tulane came away with the 41-15 victory.
The Tulane Green Wave come into this game with an 1-9 record overall but they have been more competitive as of late. Two games ago against UCF, Tulane lost 14-10 and in the last game Tulsa they lost 20-13 in overtime. The Green Wave are averaging 25.8 points while their defense is giving up 36.10 points per game. The last few games the defense has been better, and they need to continue that in this game. Under center for Tulane is Michael Pratt who has thrown for 1,923 yards, 17 touchdowns, and five interceptions.
On the other side of this matchup is the South Florida Bulls who sit with a 2-8 record overall and they have lost three games in a row. In the last game against Cincinnati, the offense managed 28 points, but their defense gave up 45 points. South Florida is averaging 25.1 points while their defense is giving up 35.4 points per game. Under center for South Florida is Timmy McClain who has thrown for 1,534 yards, five touchdowns, and eight interceptions. Running back Jaren Mangham has also been good, rushing for 560 yards and 15 touchdowns.
South Florida is 4-1 against the spread in their last five games overall. South Florida is 5-2 against the spread in their last seven games as an underdog. The over is 6-1-1 in South Florida’s last eight games against teams with a losing record. The over is 8-3-1 in the Bulls last 12 conference games. The under is 7-3 in Tulane’s last 10 conference games.
Both of these teams have been inconsistent, and that makes betting this game a little tough. South Florida has done a good job of covering spreads though coming into this game, and there is no way I am laying this type of number with a team with only one win. Look for South Florida to find enough offense to come away with a cover of the spread.
