The Syracuse Orange will travel to Carter-Finley Stadium to take on the 20th ranked NC State Wolfpack this Saturday afternoon in College Football action.
The Syracuse Orange had their 2-game winning streak snapped and dropped to 5-5 on the season after being defeated by the Louisville Cardinals, 41-3, this past Saturday. Syracuse had no answers on either end of the field for the Cardinals and could not fight back after going into halftime trailing by a 35-3 margin. Syracuse was outgained by Louisville by a 382-184 margin and lost the turnover battle by a 1-0 margin in the loss. Leading the way for the Orange was RB Sean Tucker who had 95 rushing yards on 19 carries.

The 20th ranked NC State Wolfpack had their 2-game winning streak snapped and dropped to 7-3 on the season after being defeated by the 12th ranked Wake Forest Demon Deacons, 45-42, this past Saturday. NC State trailed by a 24-20 margin at halftime and could not fight back after a 4-yard TD run by the Demon Deacons Justice Ellison gave Wake Forest a 10-point lead with just 1:47 left in the 4th quarter. NC State outgained Wake Forest by a 482-406 margin however, committed three turnovers in the loss. Leading the way for the Wolfpack was QB Devin Leary who completed 27 of 59 passes for 408 yards, 4 TD & 2 INT.

Syracuse was overmatched by Louisville last week and although it’s not shocking to see the Orange offense struggled, it was a bit concerning to see the defense give up 41 points. NC State is 5-0 at home this season and as I think NC State’s 10th ranked rushing defense is going to give the Orange trouble on the road, I think NC State does more than enough in this one to cover this double-digit spread.
