The Western Michigan Broncos snapped a 2-game losing streak and improved to 6-4 on the season after defeating the Akron Zips, 45-40, this past Tuesday. Western Michigan allowed Akron to fight back from a 14-point deficit to take a late 40-38 lead, however, the Broncos were able to avoid the upset loss after Western Michigan took the lead for good on a 45-yard TD reception by Corey Crooms with just 1:00 minutes left in regulation. Western Michigan outgained Akron by a 533-391 margin and forced 1 turnover in the victory. Leading the way for the Broncos was RB Sean Tyler who had 147 rushing yards & 1 TD on 16 carries.

The Eastern Michigan Eagles had their 2-game winning streak snapped and dropped to 6-4 on the season after being defeated by the Ohio Bobcats, 34-26, this past Tuesday night. Eastern Michigan had no answers in slowing down the Ohio rushing attack and could not fight back after a Cameron Odom 66-yard TD reception for Ohio gave the Bobcats a 34-20 lead early in the 4th quarter. Eastern Michigan was outgained by Ohio by a 495-452 margin and lost the turnover battle by a 1-0 margin in the loss. Over is 7-1 in the Broncos last 8 Tuesday games and 4-1 in the Broncos last 5 games overall. Over is 5-1-2 in the Eagles last 8 home games vs. a team with a winning road record and 4-1 in the Eagles last 5 Tuesday games.
I’m not in love with his game pick, however, I’m liking the Over in this game. Western Michigan should have no problems putting up plenty of points through their rushing attack as Eastern Michigan has really struggled against the run, coming into this game ranked just 108th in rush defense. Western Michigan is a solid offensive team, however, the defense has really struggled as of late, allowing opponents to average 36.8 ppg over their last 4 games which included allowing an Akron offense which was average just more than 20 ppg to put 40 up against them.
I think this is going to be a classic mid-week MAC shootout and my play in this one is to take the Over. Good Luck!
