The Washington State Cougars come into this game with a 5-4 record overall and in the last game against Arizona State they came away with the 34-21 victory. Washington State is averaging 25.9 points per game while the defense is giving up 24.67 points per game. The defense at times has been inconsistent, and it’s going to need to be a lot better in this game. Under center for Washington State is Jayden de Laura and he has thrown for 1967 yards, 17 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. The top running back has Max Borghi who has rushed for 571 yards and eight touchdowns.
On the other side of this matchup is the Oregon Ducks who sit with an 8-1 record and they have a real shot at the college football playoffs. In the last game against Washington, Oregon didn’t look great in the first half, but they were able to come away with the 26-16 victory. Oregon is averaging 35 points while their defense is giving up 22.4 points per game. The Ducks are dealing with some key injuries including to running back CJ Verdell. Under center for Oregon is Anthony Brown and he has thrown for 1,895 yards, 11 touchdowns, and four interceptions. Travis Dye has been the top running rushing for 820 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Oregon is the better team, but Washington State has done a good job of keeping games close and covering spreads. Washington State’s offense is going to find success, and that will be enough to keep this close. Back Washington State against the spread.
