The Oregon Ducks and Washington Huskies face off on Saturday in a Pac-12 conference showdown at Husky Stadium. When these two teams faced off in 2019, Oregon came away with the 35-31 victory.
The Oregon Ducks sit with a 7-1 record overall and this is a team that still has everything in front of them including the college football playoffs. This is a squad that has dealt with plenty of injuries, but they have still found success. In the last game, Oregon beat Colorado 52-29 and most of Buffaloes scoring came in the 4th quarter. Oregon is averaging 36.1 points while the defense is giving up 23.3 points per game. Under center for Oregon is Anthony Brown and he has thrown for 1,797 yards, 10 touchdowns, and three interceptions.
On the other side of this matchup is the Washington Huskies who sit with a 4-4 record and they are coming off a victory against the Stanford Cardinal. The defense was strong in that game giving up only 13 points. Washington is averaging 22.8 points while the defense is giving up 18.9 points per game. Under center for Washington is Dylan Morris who has thrown for 1,809 yards, 11 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. Running back Sean McGrew has been the top back rushing for 393 yards and six touchdowns. In this game if the offense can have a balanced attack, that would go a long way in keeping this game close or even pulling the upset.
Oregon is 1-5 against the spread in their last six games overall. Washington is 1-5 against the spread in their last six home games. The under is 4-1 in the last five meetings in Washington The favorite is 14-2-1 in the last 17 meetings between the two teams.
Oregon is the favorite in this game, and they are going to continue the success of the favorite having success in this game. Washington’s offense isn’t great, and their lack of scoring is going to let them down in this game. Look for Oregon to score at least 30 points, and that will lead to the Ducks covering the spread.
