The Buffalo Bulls will host the Bowling Green Falcons on Saturday in a Mid-American Conference East duel. Buffalo has dominated the match up winning the last four and are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 meetings.
Bowling Green won their first two non conference games this year, but have gone 0-4 since conference play began. Last week they were blown out by EMU, allowing them to score 55 points. Defensively, Bowling Green is ranked 4th in the MAC but their offense can’t generate enough points to keep up with most conference opponents. Their ground game is virtually nonexistent, only averaging 81 rushing yards per contest. Last week the passing game of the Falcons was just as stagnant as the run. QB Matt McDonald was 20 of 35 for 225 yards with an INT and 0 touchdown passes.
Buffalo looked strong last week covering easily against Akron as 13.5 point favorites. Buffalo dominated the whole way, racking up 484 total yards and winning by 5 TDs. Buffalo’s record is not an indicator of their dominance. With non-conference losses against Coastal and Nebraska, the Bulls have had tough spots. When they do face teams weaker than them, like Akron, they lay the smackdown. At 2-2 in MAC play, they aren’t letting this one slip pass.
The Buffalo Bulls have dominated this series beating Bowling Green by at least three TDs in each of the last three seasons. The Bulls are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 home games vs. a team with a losing road record. We cashed with them in the blowout last week, and I think that game will give them the needed momentum to cover. This spread isn’t larger because the Bulls are only .500 in the MAC, but I see this being a slaughter.
