The Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders dropped to 2-4 on the season after being defeated by the Liberty Flames, 41-13, on October 9th. Middle Tennessee had no answers on either side of the ball against Liberty and could not fight back after going into halftime trailing by a 24-7 margin. Middle Tennessee won the turnover battle by a 3-2 margin, however, was outgained by Liberty by a 449-265 margin in the loss. Leading the way for the Blue Raiders was QB Chase Cunningham who completed 22 of 42 passes for 230 yards, 2 TD, & 1 INT.

The UConn Huskies picked up their first win of the season and improved to 1-7 on the season after defeating the Yale Bulldogs, 21-15, this past Saturday. UConn was outstanding on the defensive side forcing turnovers and was able to hold on for the victory after taking a 21-0 lead early in the 3rd quarter. UConn outgained Yale by a 318-299 margin and won the turnover battle by a 4-0 margin. Leading the way for the Huskies was QB Steven Krajewski who completed 21 of 32 passes for 199 yards & 2 TD.

Defensively, UConn is allowing their opponents to average 35.0 ppg on 433.0 total yards per game (229.3 passing yds/g; 203.8 rushing yds/g).

The Blue Raiders are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games in October and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games after allowing more than 40 points in their previous game. The Huskies are 8-18 ATS in their last 26 home games and just 1-6 ATS in their last 7 Friday games.

UConn was able to get their first win on the season, however barley holding onto a 21-point lead against Yale is nothing to brag about. Middle Tennessee hasn’t had their best season and have struggled defensively, however, this is still a team that can put up some points and has gotten solid play from Cade Cunningham. UConn ranks just 115th in scoring defense and have been even worst offensively, ranking just 125th, and as I think the Blue Raiders are just far more talented on both sides of the ball, I think they win this one by at least 3 TD’s and cover this spread. Good Luck!
