The Stanford Cardinal improved to 3-2 on the season after upsetting the 3rd ranked Oregon Ducks, 31-24 (OT), this past Saturday. Stanford was able to force OT after a 2-yard TD reception by Elijah Higgins tied the game as time expired in regulation and was able to pull off the upset after Oregon could not answer Stanford’s TD to open up OT. Stanford was outgained by Oregon by a 414-354 margin, however, did win the turnover battle by a 1-0 margin. Leading the way for the Cardinal was QB Tanner McKee who completed 20 of 36 passes for 230 yards & 3 TD.

Stanford was able to pull off an incredible victory against Oregon, however, I’m expecting a letdown for the Cardinal. Stanford is decent on the defensive end overall, however, have struggled against opposing rushing attacks, ranking just 118th in CFB, which is going to be a major issue against a very solid Arizona State rushing attack. Arizona State has also been great defensively this season ranking 24th in scoring defense & 12th in total defense and as I just don’t see Stanford having much success offensively in a tough road environment , I think Arizona State wins this one by two TD’s and covers this spread. Good Luck!
