The UNLV Rebels will travel to Alamodome to take on the UTSA Roadrunners this Saturday night in College Football action.
The UNLV Rebels dropped to 0-4 on the season after being defeated by the 22nd ranked Fresno State Bulldogs, 38-30, this past Friday. UNLV gave Fresno State all they could handle and held a 30-29 lead early in the 4th quarter, however, the Frenso State was just too much offensively for the Rebels late and took the lead for good on a Jalen Cropper 26-yard TD reception with 4:53 left in regulation. UNLV was outgained by Fresno State by a 461-433 margin and committed 1 turnover in the loss. Leading the way for the Rebels was RB Charles Williams who had 102 rushing yards & 1 TD on 19 carries.

The top receiving threats for the Rebels have been Kyle Williams (9 rec, 117 yards), Steve Jenkins (9 rec, 103 yards, TD), & Tyleek Collins (5 rec, 103 yards, TD).
Defensively, UNLV is allowing their opponents to average 39.5 ppg on 472.5 total yards per game (309.0 passing yds/g; 163.5 rushing yds/g).
The UTSA Roadrunners improved to 4-0 on the season after defeating the Memphis Tigers, 31-28, this past Saturday. UTSA fell behind by a 21-0 margin, however, the defense was solid the rest of the way and UTSA was able to complete the comeback after UTSA hit a game-winning 42-yard FG as time expired. UTSA was outgained by Memphis by a 407-399 margin, however, won the turnover battle by a 2-1 margin in the victory. Leading the way for the Roadrunners was Sincere McCormick who had 184 rushing yards & 3 TD’s on 42 carries.

The Rebels are 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 road games, however, are just 2-9 ATS in their last 11 games following an ATS win. The Roadrunners are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games overall and 6-0 ATS in their last 6 home games.
UNLV played Fresno State tough last week, however, this is still a team that has struggled on both sides of the ball this season as the Rebels come into this game ranked just 112th in scoring offense & 124th in scoring defense. UTSA has one of the best running backs in the country in Sincere McCormick and a defense that has been outstanding against the run this season, ranking 16th in College Football. We’ve been rolling hot with UTSA all season and as they are an outstanding team at home and should be able to keep UNLV off the scoreboard, I think UTSA and their offense does enough to cover this large spread. Good Luck!
