The Colorado Buffaloes will travel to Sun Devil Stadium to take on the Arizona State Sun Devils this Saturday night in College Football action.

The Colorado Buffaloes lost their 2nd straight game and dropped to 1-2 on the season after being defeated by the Minnesota Golden Gophers, 30-0, this past Saturday. Colorado once again struggled on the offensive end and could not fight back against Minnesota after going into halftime trailing by a 13-0 margin. Colorado was outgained by Minnesota by a 441-63 margin and lost the turnover battle by a 2-0 margin in the loss. Leading the way for the Buffaloes was QB Brendon Lewis who completed 8 of 16 passes for 55 yards.

On the season, Colorado is averaging 14.0 ppg on 235.3 total yards per game (91.0 passing yds/g; 144.3 rushing yds/g). Offensively, Colorado has been led by the rushing duo of Jarek Broussard (32 att, 153 yards, 2 TD) & Alex Fontenot (23 att, 83 yards, TD). QB Brendon Lewis has completed 55.4% of his passes for 246 yards, 1 TD, & 1 INT. Lewis is also the 2nd leading rusher for the Buffaloes with 93 rushing yards on 23 carries. The top receiving threats for the Buffaloes have been Daniel Arias (4 rec, 45 yards), Brady Russell (6 rec, 37 yards), & Brenden Rice (5 rec, 35 yards).

Defensively, Colorado is holding their opponents to an average of 15.7 ppg on 328.3 total yards per game (197.0 passing yds/g; 131.3 rushing yds/g).

The Arizona State Sun Devils dropped to 2-1 on the season after being defeated by the 23rd ranked BYU Cougars, 27-17, this past Saturday. Arizona State struggled with turnovers in the tough BYU environment and could not fight back after going into halftime trailing by a 21-7 margin. Arizona State outgained BYU by a 426-361 margin, however, lost the turnover battle by a 4-2 margin in the loss. Leading the way for the Sun Devils was RB Daniyel Ngata who had 82 rushing yards & 1 TD on 8 carries.

On the season, Arizona State is averaging 31.7 ppg on 437.3 total yards per game (213.0 passing yds/g; 224.3 rushing yds/g). Offensively, Arizona State has been led by led by the RB duo of Rachaad White (44 att, 225 yards, 5 TD; 15 rec, 117 yards) & Daniyel Ngata ( 25 att, 183 yards, 3 TD). The Buffaloes are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 conference games, however, are just 3-10 ATS in their last 13 games following a straight up loss. The Sun Devils are 2-7 ATS vs. a team with a losing record and just 3-12 ATS in their last 15 games as a favorite.

Colorado played Texas A&M tough just a few weeks ago, but there is no way I can trust this Colorado offense which comes into this game ranked just 126th in total offense & 129th in passing offense. Arizona State suffered a tough victory at BYU, however, the Sun Devils have a solid rushing attack and after seeing Minnesota run all over Colorado last week, I think Arizona State has no trouble pulling away in this one and that they cover this double-digit spread. Good Luck!
