The UAB Blazers and Georgia Bulldogs face off on Saturday in a Week 2 college football showdown at Sanford Stadium. These two teams have played twice before with Georgia winning each of the two games.

The UAB Blazers opened up their season against Jacksonville State and they were able to dominate the game on the way to 31-0 victory. At the end of the first quarter the game was tied 0-0 but then UAB turned on the jets with their offense. Tyler Johnston III has been good under center for UAB throwing for 320 yards and two touchdowns. On the ground, the Blazers were led by Jermaine Brown Jr and he finished with 78 yards and one touchdown. In this game the offense is going to need to be good, but more importantly, the defense is going to need to lock down. If they give up 30 or 35 points they aren’t going to have a chance in this game.

On the other side of this matchup is the Georgia Bulldogs who had one of the most impressive victories in Week 1 over the Clemson Tigers. The Bulldogs offense wasn’t elite scoring only ten points, but the defense was giving up only three points. Georgia has one of the best defensive lines in football and they finished with six sacks against the Tigers. On offense, quarterback Jt Daniels threw for 135 yards, zero touchdowns, and an interception. Daniels is dealing with an injury and is questionable for this game. If he can’t go it will probably be Carson Beck who will get the start.

UAB is 2-6 against the spread in their last eight games against a team with a winning record. Georgia is 2-5 against the spread in their last seven games in September. The under is 4-1 in the Blazers last five games overall. The over is 6-2 in UAB’s last eight games against the SEC. The under is 8-3 in Georgia’s last 11 home games. The under is 7-3 in Georgia’s last 10 games following an ATS win.

The Georgia Bulldogs are going to lock down UAB’s offense in this game. Georgia is facing an undersized offensive line, and they are going to put all kinds of pressure on Johnston. I also don’t see Georgia running up the score in this game, and the under will cash.
