Toledo at Notre Dame: 9/11/21 College Football Picks and Predictions

The Toledo Rockets and Notre Dame Fighting Irish face off on Saturday in a Week 2 college football showdown at Notre Dame Stadium. This is the first meeting ever between the Rockets and FIghting Irish. 

The Toledo Rockets faced off Week 1 against Norfolk State, and there wasn’t really any doubt who was coming away with the victory. Toledo scored 14 points in three of the four quarters and finished with a 49-10 victory. Unde center for Toledo is Carter Bradley and in the first game, he threw for 183 yards and a touchdown. DeQuan Finn was the best back rushing nine times for 82 yards and a touchdown. Bryant Koback also had a big game rushing nine times for 52 yards and two touchdowns. Toledo did give up a touchdown early and in this game they can’t fall behind early. 

On the other side of this matchup is the Notre Dame Fighting Irish who were involved in one of the most exciting games of Week 1 on Sunday. Notre Dame faced off with Florida State, and although it might have been a little too close for comfort they did win 41-38 in overtime. Notre Dame was cruising before giving up 18 points and that led to the overtime. Jack Coan is under center for Notre Dame and he threw for 366 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception. Wide receiver Michael Mayer is a star and he caught nine passes for 120 yards and one touchdown. One issue in the first game on offense was the lack of running game, that they need to try and establish more in this game.
