Washington faces USC on Friday, December 18th at Los Angeles Memorial Stadium for an NCAA football matchup in the PAC-12 Conference Championship.
Washington is coming off a 31-26 loss to Stanford in its last game at home in Week 14. That was Washington's first loss of the season, as the Huskies are now 3-1 on the year and in conference play. Washington beat Oregon State, Arizona, and Utah earlier this season, and was previously ranked before its loss to Stanford. Washington has scored 30.3 points per game and has earned 402.8 total yards of offense per contest as well. Washington gets 226.5 passing yards and 176.3 rushing yards per game on offense. Defensively, Washington allows 346.3 total yards of offense to its opponents and concedes 25.0 points per game to the opposition as well. Washington may not have had a special season per se, but to find itself in the PAC-12 Championship is a win nonetheless.
USC is coming off a 43-38 win over UCLA in its last game on the road in Week 15. USC trailed 14-0 and 28-10 in that game, but somehow the Trojans were able to storm back and find their fifth win of the season. USC is a perfect 5-0 and was ranked #15 in the nation before the win over UCLA. USC has scored 35.2 points per game and has earned 428.4 total yards of offense per contest as well. This includes 319.2 passing yards and only 109.2 rushing yards per game. USC has allowed 25.0 points per game just like Washington. USC has conceded 395.0 total yards of offense to its opponents this season. USC will need to be sharper against the run in this game, as the Trojans allow more than 150 rushing yards per game, and Washington has a solid run game.
USC opens as a 6.5-point favorite and the total is set at 58.5. I like USC to win this game by a touchdown or more and seal the deal on this PAC-12 Championship. There is no doubt that USC is the best team in the PAC-12, and I think USC gets the job done here.
