The Buffalo Bulls and Ohio Bobcats face off on Saturday in a college football showdown at Peden Stadium.
The Buffalo Bulls sit with a 4-0 perfect record and the offense has been quite impressive. On the season Buffalo is averaging 50.8 points per game which is 1st place in all of college football. In the last game Buffalo beat Kent State 70-41. Running back Jaret Patterson had one of the best games ever for a running back. Patterson had 36 carries putting up 409 yards and eight touchdowns. Some have called Patterson like Darren Sproles and he is going to be leaned on heavily again in this game. The defense has shown they have holes this season, and in this game, the defense is going to need to lock down in this game.
On the other side of this matchup is the Ohio Bobcats who lost their first game of the season but they have won two games in a row. One big issue heading into this game is they really haven’t beaten a good team. Bowling Green and Akron are the two worst teams in the MAC so if they want to win this game, they are going to need to be better. In the first game against Central Michigan, Ohio lost by three points. In the last game against Bowling Green Ohio put up 52 points led by running back De’Monte Tuggle who had 15 carries for 185 yards and three touchdowns. Through the air, Ohio had less than 100 yards total and in this game, they are going to need the offense to be better through the air. Chances are this game is going to be a shootout, and the offense will need to be almost perfect.
Buffalo is an elite offensive team and they very well could get close to covering this spread by themselves. This game is going to be a high scoring shootout that is going to go well over the posted total.
