The Boise State Broncos and Hawaii Rainbow Warriors face off in a college football showdown at Aloha Stadium.
The Boise State Broncos come into this game with a 3-1 record and their only loss was against a very good BYU team. After losing against BYU two games ago, Boise State bounced back in a big way against the Colorado State Rams winning 52-21. On the season Boise State is giving up 40 points while their defense is giving up 28.8 points per game. On the road this season the Broncos offense is even better averaging 49 points per game. At quarterback, Boise State is led by Hank Bachmeier who has thrown for 470 yards, four touchdowns, and zero interceptions. In this game it’s going to all about the offense running up the score.
On the other side of this matchup is the Hawaii Warriors who comes into this game with a 2-2 record but one of those losses came in their last game against San Diego State. In that game against San Diego State, Hawaii only managed ten points and that led to the loss. On the season Hawaii is averaging 22.5 points while their defense is giving up 29.2 points. At quarterback, Hawaii is led by Chevan Cordeiro who has thrown for 958 yards, five touchdowns, and four interceptions. The defense is going to need to be good, but if Hawaii’s offense struggles in this game, they are going to have all kinds of issues coming away with a victory.
Hawaii is 10-27-1 against the spread in their last 39 home games. Hawaii is 8-20 against the spread in their last 28 games against teams with a winning record. Hawaii is 16-33-2 against the spread in their last 51 games overall.
Hawaii’s offense isn’t good enough to keep this game close and that is going to continue in this game. Look for Boise State to run up the score, Hawaii is going to have no answer, and that will lead to Boise State winning this game and covering the spread.
Shane’s Pick Boise State -11.5
