Let’s recap the 2019 season and see if they will get over the posted win total of nine in 2020.
The LSU Tigers 2019 season was special, but there are a lot of parts that are going to need to be replaced. Gone are quarterback Joe Burrow, running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire and wide receiver Justin Jeffferson. They also have only one returning starter from last year’s team on the offensive line. They also lost pass game specialist Joe Brady and that could be the most devastating loss on offense.
Myles Brennan will be under center for the Tigers this season and he got a little playing time last season in blowouts, which could really help him this season. On defense, there are also a lot of question marks which could be concerning, especially with all the questions surrounding the defense. It’s going to be hard to replicate what they did last season, but the hopes is they can still be competitive in the SEC.

Pick: Taking a look at the non-conference schedule, they have three cupcakes and one tough game. Nicholls State, UTSA and Rice are going to be no problem, with the only concerning game coming against Texas. LSU has a lot of questions mark, but so do the Longhorns.
The SEC schedule is going to be a grind again and playing at Florida, Auburn, and Texas A&M is going to be tough. The good news for the Tigers is they do play their game against Alabama at home.
This season they are going to take a step back.LSU is going to struggle in SEC play and that is going to lead them to finish under the win total.
