As a team, Troy is averaging 478.6 yards of total offense and 39 points per game while allowing 409 yards of total defense and 31.6 points per game against this season.
The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns come into this game looking to build on their current four-game winning streak after a 37-27 road win over South Alabama last time out. Levi Lewis has thrown for 1,907 yards, 16 touchdowns and 3 interceptions on 65.6% passing while Elijah Mitchell leads the Cajuns in rushing with 874 rushing yards an 13 touchdowns. Troy is 12-4-1 ATS in their last 17 conference games and 12-4 ATS in their last 16 road games while the over is 4-0 in their last 4 games overall. Louisiana is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games and 16-5 ATS in their last 21 games overall while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 conference games. Troy is 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings between these two teams at Louisiana and the road team is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings between these two teams overall.
I have no qualms with ULL being favored at home here, but I do have a slight issue with the number. A win here for Louisiana almost locks up their spot in the Sun Belt title game and I think the Cajuns will be coming in here playing not to lose. A win here for Troy would mean securing bowl eligibility, and the Trojans have the skill offensively to hang with Louisiana here. I’ll take a shot with Troy and the points in this one.
