The Line: Utah State Aggies -6 -- Over/Under: 50
The Wyoming Cowboys and the Utah State Aggies will match up in the college football on Saturday.
Wyoming comes in here at 6-3 so far. The Cowboys have wins over Missouri, Texas State, Idaho, UNLV, New Mexico and Nevada but they’ve lost to Tulsa, San Diego State and Boise State.
In the loss to the Broncos, Wyoming QB Tyler Vander Waal managed 160 yards, and Xazavian Valladay rushed for 124 yards and a score. Josh Harshman logged 48 yards on six grabs as well.
Over on the Utah State side, they’re 5-4. The Aggies have losses to Wake, LSU, Air Force and BYU but they’ve beaten Stony Brook, SDSU, CO State, Nevada and Fresno State.
In the win over the Bulldogs, Utah State QB Jordan Love logged 388 yards and two TDs, and Gerold Bright had 79 yards and a TD. Siaosi Mariner led the receivers on 11 catches for 103 yards and two scores.
The Cowboys are 4-0 ATS in their last four on turf and 5-1 ATS in their last six road games. Wyoming is 8-3 ATS in their last 11 overall and 5-2 ATS in their last seven conference games.
Meanwhile, the Aggies are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 home games and 12-4 ATS in their last 16 on turf. Utah State is 9-4 ATS in their last 13 on turf and 9-4 ATS in their last 13 after an ATS win.
Wyoming did fairly well against a good Boise team, losing 20-17 in overtime to put a halt to their adding to consecutive wins. The Cowboys have 23 or fewer points in three of their last four games though, so that’s something to monitor.
As for Utah State, they’ve given up a total of 77 points over their last two games, and have had some defensive lapses here and there. i’m going to go with the Cowboys on the cover in this one.
