The Colorado Buffaloes and the UCLA Bruins will meet up on the college football circuit Saturday.

Colorado comes in here at 3-5 so far. The Buffaloes have taken out Colorado State, Nebraska and Arizona State but otherwise fallen to Air Force, Arizona, Oregon, Washington State and USC.

In the loss to the Trojans, Colorado QB Steven Montez managed 324 yards and three TDs, and Alex Fontenot led the rush with 57 yards on 16 carries. Laviska Shenault put up 172 yards and a score on nine grabs to lead the receivers there.

Over on the UCLA side, they’re 3-5 this year. The Bruins have dropped to Cincinnati, San Diego State, Oklahoma, Arizona and Oregon State but taken out Washington State, Stanford and Arizona State.

In the win over the Sun Devils, UCLA QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson posted 176 yards and two TDs, and Joshua Kelley had 164 yards and four touchdowns. Ethan Fernea added three catches for 45 yards.

The Buffaloes are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 overall and 2-5 ATS versus a team with a winning record. Colorado is 2-8 ATS in their last 10 conference games and 1-4 ATS in their last five after an ATS win.

Meanwhile, the Bruins are 2-0-2 ATS in their last four after an ATS win and 5-1-2 ATS in their last eight conference games. UCLA is 3-1-1 ATS in their last five overall and 20-43-1 ATS versus a team with a losing record.

Colorado had the USC game in hand but lost it in the fourth quarter, continuing a disappointing trend of four straight losses. The Buffaloes have coughed up at least 35 points in each of those games as well, and at least 30 in every game this season.

With that in mind, UCLA has put up 31 or more points in each of their last three games, so I’m going to take the Bruins on the cover in a high-flying matchup here.
