The TCU Horned Frogs and the Kansas State Wildcats will match up on the college football field Saturday.
TCU is sitting at 3-2 overall. The Frogs have beaten AR-Pine Bluff, Purdue and Kansas, but fallen to SMU and Iowa State otherwise.
In the loss to the Cyclones, TCU QB Max Duggan had 219 yards and two scores, while Darius Anderson led the rush on 49 yards and a TD. Tevailance Hunt added 78 yards on four receptions to led the team there.
Over on the Kansas State side, they’re 3-2 this season. The Wildcats opened with wins over Nicholls State, Bowling Green and MS State but have lost their last pair to OK State and Baylor.
In the loss to the Bears. Kansas State QB Skylar Thompson had 218 yards with a TD and an INT, and James Gilbert had 94 yards rushing. Phillip Brooks added 69 yards on seven grabs as well.
TCU is 2-6 ATS in their last eight after a straight-up loss and 3-9 ATS versus a team with a winning record. The Frogs are 3-10 ATS in their last 13 conference games and 0-5 ATS in their last five in October.
Meanwhile, the Wildcats are 8-2-1 ATS in their last 11 after an ATS loss and 11-3 ATS in their last 14 after a bye week. Kansas State is 5-2 ATS in their last seven overall and 25-12-2 ATS int heir last 39 in October.
TCU’s offensive output has been pretty good the entire year. Outside of the 24 points they put up against Iowa State, the Frogs posted at least 34 points in each of their other four games. Trouble is, they give up a lot of points on the other side; 41 to SMU and 49 to the Cyclones.
Still, considering Kansas State has logged just 25 points in their last two games combined I don’t think the Frogs will have a whole lot of trouble here. I’m going TCU.
