The Army Black Knights and the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers will match up on the college football circuit Saturday.
Army enters this one at 3-2 overall. The Knights have taken out Rice, UTSA and Morgan State this year but fallen to Michigan and Tulane.
In the loss to the Wave, Army QB Kelvin Hopkins had 170 yards with a TD and an INT, and also led the rush with 132 yards and two scores. Camden Harrison had 103 yards receiving with a touchdown as well.
Over on the Western Kentucky side, they’re 3-2 this season. The Hilltoppers have fallen to Central AR and Louisville but otherwise beaten FIU, UAB and Old Dominion.
In the win over the Monarchs, Western Kentucky QB had 193 yards with a TD and an INT, and Gaej Walker rushed for 114 yards and a TD. Jahcour Pearson had 67 yards receiving on seven catches.
The Black Knights are 6-0 ATS in their last six road games and 8-1-1 ATS versus a team with a winning record. Army is 2-5 ATS in their last seven versus CUSA and 2-5 ATS in their last seven on turf.
Meanwhile, the Hilltoppers are 5-1 ATS in their last six on turf and 1-5 ATS in their last six in October. WKU is 5-2 ATS in their last seven overall and 4-12 in their last 16 non-conference games.
Army put up a decent fight against a solid Tulane team but realistically should have been a lot more competitive on defense—they gave up 42 points in a fairly uncharacteristic showing.
The Black Knights should be able to bounce back here, as the Hilltoppers haven’t been super dominant on the offensive side of the ball. I’m going with Army on the cover. Doesn't seem like the line is too bad as long as it's under a touchdown.
