The New Mexico State Aggies and the Central Michigan Chippewas will meet up in college football action Saturday.
New Mexico State enters this one at a disappointing 0-6, falling in succession this season to Washington State, Alabama, San Diego State, New Mexico, Fresno State and Liberty.
In the Liberty loss, Aggies QB Josh Adkins had 265 yards with two picks, and Jason Huntley had 75 yards and one TD. Tony Nicholson had 76 yards from six receptions there as well.
Over on the Central Michigan side, they’re 3-3 this year. The Chippewas have losses to Wisconsin, Miami-FL and Western Michigan but have beaten Albany, Akron and Eastern Michigan.
In the EMU game, Chippewas QB David Moore logged 279 yards with two TDs and two INTs, and Jonathan Ward had 132 yards with two TDs rushing. Kalil Pimpleton had 112 yards and a TD on five catches as well.
The Aggies are 4-9-1 ATS in their last 14 after a straight-up loss and 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 after an ATS loss. New Mexico State is 3-8-1 ATS in their last 12 overall and 0-4 ATS in their last four in October.
Meanwhile, the Chippewas are 4-1 ATS in their last five non-conference games and 6-2 ATS in their last eight after a straight-up win. Central Michigan is 1-4 ATS in their last five in October and 1-4 ATS in their last five after an ATS win.
Well, not much has gone right for the Aggies this season. If there’s a silver lining from their last game it’s that they fought back from a 10-point halftime deficit to fall just 20-13, and they’ve had a few remotely winnable games this year.
As for the Chippewas, they’ve been pretty uneven but I don’t think they’ll have a lot of issues covering here. I’ll go CMU.
