The Oregon State Beavers and the UCLA Bruins will meet up on the college football circuit Saturday.
The Beavers are sitting at 1-3 so far. Oregon State took out Cal Poly but otherwise have fallen to Oklahoma State, Hawaii and Stanford.
In the Stanford loss, Oregon State QB Jake Luton had 337 yards and a TD, and Artavis Pierce had 141 rush yards with two scores. Isaiah Hodgins had 10 grabs for 162 yards and a TD receiving.
Over on the UCLA side, they’re 1-4 this year. The Bruins beat Washington State but have also fallen to Cincinnati, San Diego State, Oklahoma and Arizona.
In the Arizona loss, UCLA quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson had 180 yards, a TD and an INT, and Jaylen Erwin caught seven balls for 63 yards. Joshua Kelley led the rush with 127 and a score.
The Beavers are 9-3 ATS in the last 12 road games versus a team with a losing home record and 37-17-1 ATS in their last 55 in October. Oregon State is 3-7 ATS in their last 10 on grass and 3-11 ATS in their last 14 conference games.
Meanwhile, the Bruins are 3-0-2 ATS in their last five conference games and 20-42-1 ATS versus a team with a losing record. UCLA is 2-8-1 ATS in their last 11 home games and 0-2-2 ATS in their last four on grass.
Oregon State seems to be finding their footing a bit over the last few games, as they’ve only lost by three (31-28 in both) over their last two losses. That should serve them well in this one, as UCLA has had myriad scoring issues this season. I’m going to stick with the Beavers here.
