The Bowling Green Falcons and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish will match up on the college football circuit Saturday.
Bowling Green enters this one at 1-3 overall. The Falcons won their opener 46-3 over Morgan State but have since fallen to Kansas State, LA Tech and Kent State.
In the game 4 loss, Bowling Green QB Darius Wade put up 161 yards with two picks, and Andrew Clair led the rush on 61 yards and a TD. RB Marlow caught six passes for 69 yards as well.
Over on the Notre Dame side, they’re 3-1 so far. The Irish took out Louisville and New Mexico in their first two games before losing to Georgia, but then took care of Virginia this past Saturday.
In the game 4 win, Notre Dame QB Ian Book posted 165 yards while Tony Jones had 131 rush yards and three scores. Cole Kmet had 65 yards to lead the receivers there.
The Falcons are 2-6 ATS in their last eight games after an ATS loss and 1-4 ATS in their last five after a straight-up loss. Bowling Green is 1-7 ATS versus a team with a winning record and 2-14 ATS in their last 16 non-conference games.
Meanwhile, the Irish are 4-0 ATS in their last four home games and 3-1-1 ATS in their last five after an ATS win. Notre Dame is 9-4-1 ATS in their last 14 overall and 41-19-2 ATS in their last 62 in October.
Following the blowout opening-week win, Bowling Green hasn’t been able to gain much traction, as they’ve posted just 27 points over their last three games.
This looks like an utter mismatch in every sense of the word, and I can’t find a lot of reasons not to take the Irish if the line doesn’t inflate to epic proportions.
