The Eastern Michigan Eagles and the Central Michigan Chippewas will match up on the college football circuit Saturday.
Eastern Michigan comes in here at 3-1 on the year. The Eagles fell to Kentucky in their second game but otherwise have dispatched Coastal Carolina, Illinois and Central CT State.
In the game four win, EMU quarterback Mike Glass posted 279 yards, four TDs and two picks, and Willie Parker had nine rushes for 51 yards. Quian Williams led the receivers on 115 yards and two TDs on eight grabs.
Over on the Central Michigan side, they’re 2-3 this season. The Chippewas have beaten Albany and Akron but fallen to Wisconsin, Miami-FL and Western Michigan.
In the game five win, CMU quarterback David Moore had 330 yards with one TD and two picks, while Tyrone Scott caught six balls for 81 yards. Jonathan Ward had 107 yards rushing there as well.
The Eagles are 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 after an ATS loss and 4-1 ATS in their last five in October. EMU is 27-13 in their last 40 overall and 12-27 ATS in their last 39 after a straight-up win.
Meanwhile, the Chippewas are 0-4 ATS in their last four in October and 0-4 ATS versus a team with a winning record. CMU is 3-8 ATS in their last 11 on turf and 0-4 ATS versus a team with a winning record.
Eastern Michigan really has only had the one bad game this year, but all thinner stuff has been close. Each of their three wins has been decided by a TD or less. This one should be close as well but I think Central Michigan can get in there.
